A note from Bob Anderson and Frank Della Corte, site editors:

Welcome from the new owners of CR.

Captain Bob has been boating for over 30 years beginning on Lake Chiemsee in Germany, owning and sailing three boats, chartering in the Virgins to thousands of blue water miles. He holds a USCG 100 ton Master with a sailing endorsement as well as ASA instruction certificates to train up to level 105. From the first time he read about Robin Graham’s historic circumnavigation he was hooked.

Frank is an avid sailor starting out in learning to sail on 15 ft Coronados through the UCSC program in Santa Cruz CA about 15 years ago. Within two months he and some friends bought a J-24, racing it around the buoys in Monterey Bay. Four boats later, Frank and his wife have recently purchased a yacht/charter business offering crewed yacht charters in the Virgin Islands and Grenadines.

We are excited of taking the helm over from CR’s originator David Stookey. In the coming months, the plans are to chart a new course for CR adding useful features and options to personalize the site to a sailor’s needs. In the meantime, please continue to use CR in its current format as a useful resource for your cruising needs. Broken links will be updated and additional information added.
