Offshore passage instruction aboard a Hallberg-Rassy 46, with Amanda Swan Neal and John Neal. Courses include three to six hours of focused, hands-on cruising instruction per day. Plus a 93-page Expedition Manual. At this writing, the Mahina Tiare is in the southwest Pacific. Also occasional land-based weekend seminars.

Wide range of cruising instruction, including courses on basic and advanced coastal, offshore, passagemaking, coastal and celestial navigation, radar, bareboat chartering, multihull sailing, SSB, and night sailing, Also gives classes on diesel repair, electrical systems, cooking at sea and other technical topics. Their affiliated club rents cruising boats to members by the day and organizes instructional cruises in Greece, Tonga, et al.

One of the largest sailmakers offers separate one-day training courses in Cruising and Seamanship and Weather for Sailors. The also offer custom onboard instruction.
